Maui short is a short fin, ideal for swimming in open and confined waters, and for snorkeling. For its robustness and practicality, it is the ideal fin for safety and rescue teams operating on beaches. Maui short has been developed using the same calculation programs that we used to design on Impulse and Sprint fins, and on her “big sister” Maui. Two side rails, built in two different materials, convoy the water towards the central part of the blade. The combination of a softer material and a stiffer one makes this fin extremely soft and extremely performing at the same time. When the blade flexes it creates a “spoon” effect and bouncing back in position it emits a great propelling power in return. The strap is built using an EBS system made of elastic rubbers, with a nylon lining, that guarantees a very long duration and resistance to abrasion. The heel is made of soft rubber, cut in an anatomic shape. This fin can be used with or without neoprene socks. The handle is wrapped around the heel, so that it does not interfere with the movement of legs and feet when swimming. The EBS system is very stable on its own, but we added a choker on the elastic bands to allow a fine tuning of the fin and to avoid an unwanted release
